Overview
The Red Buck Alluvial 005 unpatented placer mining claim is a great starter claim for a first claim purchase.
Easy accessibility, an easy flowing meandering stream, and right downstream of a large known gold and silver bearing vein system that is the source of the alluvial gold on the claim, known as the Tincup Thrust Fault.
The south facing slope of the claim means this claim is usually the last claim to get snowed in during the fall season and the first to open up for safe passage in the spring.
The gold found is primarily fine to flake gold. Silver can be found in different forms such as galena (a lead silver oxide) across the claim. The silver is very prolific and wide spread, oftentimes mixed with other heavy materials such as black sand.
The total stream length within the claim boundaries are approximately 1,013 feet in total linear stream length. The dry bench on the south side of the claim proved to have small pockets of mineralization intermixed with fairly angular alluvial cobble materials.

History
This claim historically has not been worked by a large commercial bucket dredge or a hydraulic mining operation. There is evidence of small hand working typically associated with a hand fed sluice box; which is commonplace with almost any gold bearing creek in the tincup mining district.
The gold and silver bearing vein system that is supplying the alluvial mineralization on the claim is a known gold and silver producing A Style vein system that strikes north/south and is traceable for over 10 miles in length. This vein system has supplied alluvial mineralization to most of the major creeks flowing thru the Willow Creek drainage.
