Easy Access To Historic Workings

Remote Location

Premier Location

37.06 acres of remote yet accessible mining claims with a highly mineralized ore body. Easy access to historic workings including one main portal, 3 shafts and large amounts of waste rock piles containing commercial ore grades.  Water Onsite!

Located outside the old abandoned ghost town of Spook City, the Klondike Hollow Project 015/016 Lode Claims sits directly on a silver/lead producing vein system.

Overview

One of the keystone claims in our fall 2024 portfolio, the Klondike Hollow Project 015/016 Lodes provide the best of both worlds to any potential buyer.

Not only do you have unobstructed access to numerous portals and shafts, but you also have multiple ore/tailings piles to re-process or hunt specimens in.

Access is great and traffic is very minimal due to the lack of continuous loop road infrastructure.  This lack of high traffic access has been able to preserve this mine thru the years upon its premature closure.

Vein structures are easily delineated and high quality samples can be found easily.

Camping

Camping is allowed for up to 14 days continuous.

Access

13.5 miles from the town of Saguache.

With no thru access the claim has minimal traffic and has largely been sheltered for years by the high elevation and lack of continuous loop road infrastructure.

History

The Ford Creek/Bonita Hill area was primarily developed for its lode gold and silver sources. The lode mines are extensive with numerous adits, shafts, and trenches dug and developed upstream and on all side of this lode claim.

The lode mines were so rich that a small prospectors tent/cabin boom town sprung up nearby the mines claim called Spook City, old remnants of the town are still visible to this day.

Geology

Local alteration of early barren stage of alteration by fumarolic or acid hot spring activity resulted in intense silification, wall rock replacement by jasper and alteration products of hematite, diaspore, alunite, barite, zunyite, rutile, and kaolin minerals.

Later mineralization stage by alkaline or neutral solutions deposited ore and gangue and caused micaceous alteration (sericite and chlorite) and calcite, quartz, and pyrite.
